In February 2024, Cuckooland Limited was sold as a business and will now trade as Cuckooland under new company ownership. Since then, the company has been bought by new owners Flair Furnishings LTD.
For orders placed from 20th February 2024
If your enquiry is regarding an order placed from 20th February 2024 onwards you can track your order or please contact us at customerservice@cuckooland.com
For orders placed before 20th February 2024
If your inquiry relates to an order made on or before February 20th, the purchaser will not fulfil it. You can submit your claim as an unsecured creditor. Additionally, you might be eligible to seek reimbursement from your bank or credit card issuer.
Because the company has stopped operating, the administrators cannot process returns, including faulty items or exchanges. If you are owed a refund for a faulty or returned product, or for an item you intended to return that was purchased before the administration, you can file a claim as an unsecured creditor. Additionally, there may be a possibility of seeking reimbursement from your bank or credit card company.
The administrators will contact all creditors confirming their appointment and providing further details concerning the administration and their proposals. Should you have any queries, please contact the administrator, Ben Woodthrope, of Resolve Group UK, at 020 3031 2750, or email ben.woodthorpe@resolvegroupuk.com.
Claiming funds back from your bank or credit card provider
If you paid with a credit card over £100
If you paid the Company using a credit card for £100 or more and have proof of the transactions, you might be eligible to claim under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. To check eligibility, contact your card provider. They'll require copies of documents and confirmation that the Company entered administration with no distribution to unsecured creditors. You'll soon receive an official letter from the Joint Administrators confirming this, along with a Notice of Appointment. If your credit card provider denies your refund, you can lodge a formal complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service. For more information, please click here.
If you paid with a debit card or credit card under £100
If you used a debit or credit card for a payment under £100 to the Company and have proof of the transaction, you may be able to seek recourse through your bank or card provider via the 'chargeback' scheme. The bank or credit provider will assess your eligibility for this claim, requiring documentation and confirmation of the Company's administration status with no distribution to unsecured creditors. Expect to receive an official letter from the Joint Administrators soon, along with a Notice of Appointment. Please be aware that some banks or credit card providers only accept claims for purchases made within the last 120 days.
Should your bank or credit card provider deny your refund request, you can file a formal complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service. For more information, click here.
If you paid via a Buy Now Pay Later provider (“BNPL”)
If you bought items through services like Klarna or Clearpay, your initial step should be to reach out to your BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) provider to understand their procedure and clarify the issue.
If your BNPL provider fails to resolve the matter, you can pursue a chargeback if your payment was made via a credit or debit card.
If you are unable to obtain a refund from the above
If you're unable to secure a refund through the previously mentioned avenues, you have the option to submit your proof of debt form along with supporting documents to Ben Woodthrope of Resolve Group UK at ben.woodthorpe@resolvegroupuk.com, or mail the documents to Resolve Group UK, attention: Ben Woodthrope, RE|SOLVE, 22 York Buildings, John Adam Street, London, WC2N 6JU. By completing and returning a Proof of Debt Form, you'll be classified as an unsecured creditor of the Company. It's important to note that currently, we don't anticipate any distributions to unsecured creditors.
