Garden storage is certainly high on any green-fingered agenda - to help make that all important decision, we've listed a few of your most popular FAQs below:

1. Do I need to condition wooden storage units?

Our wood-based purchases come with pre-treatments covering a few premier endurance properties, such as anti-rot pressure treatment. However, it’s always advised (and necessary) to condition the wood with a wood treatment (available from all good hardware/DIY retailers) once a year, if you want to increase longevity. You can also add a lick of paint to your storage unit to make it truly unique.

2. If I’m storing logs, do I need to dry them first?

If at all possible, yes! A stack of damp logs will take much longer to dry in storage, reducing their wood-burning capabilities and possibility causing the storage structure itself to develop damp or mould and begin to deteriorate. However, to safeguard against this, many of our log shelters have a waterproof coating and slatted backs, allowing your wood to breathe. We would however recommend drying out damp wood before storage to maintain both the wood being stored and storage unit.

3. Do your storage items come with locks?

Yes, our sheds and large garden storage items have either doors with a lock and key or external latches that you can use to lock the door in place. Our smaller storage boxes come equipped with a slot for your padlock.

4. Will I need to assemble the storage item myself?

Yes, you will need to build them – ideally with an extra pair of hands especially for the large outdoor storage items like sheds. Full instructions and a DIY kit are included.
