About Us (Who are we?)
We're a team of happy adventurers and novice explorers, of camper van owners, hikers, wild swimmers and fun seekers and Cuckooland.com is about 'Living in the Wow' and enjoying life. Our days off are spent discovering the beauty that's on our doorstep, for us its the Dorset Countryside and the Jurassic Coastline. We are inspired by what we see and who we meet, and we design and curate products that mirror our magical experiences in this 'Cuckoo' land. The unique and unusual and the wow and the wonderful.
Why such a focus on Kids Beds? Well, have you ever stayed awake under the stars in a Dark Sky Reserve and allowed your imagination to run wild, or surrendered completely to the moment and just stayed quiet and present? For us, night time is as much about reflection and mindfulness as it is about raising a glass and singing songs around a crackling campfire. Our Childrens Beds are designed in such a way to encourage our kids and teens to embrace night and sleep time. To look forward to it. To dream, to reflect, to be inspired. To want to take themselves off to this magical place. And hopefully one day to have the courage and determination to take the road less travelled and live in the wow.
