Competitions and Prizes in a Nutshell
Our Terms and Conditions and rules for Competitions and Prizes are laid out below; please note we reserve the right to amend these from time to time and at our own discretion.
Our rules will govern each competition unless specific conditions and instructions in the competition state otherwise.
An entrant will be bound by these terms and conditions (including the rules) when they enter the competition, and by entering the competition the entrant will be deemed to have read and understood them.
Please note that all our decisions will be final and binding.
Entrants are to be aged 18 or older unless the competition specifically states or implies otherwise. If under 18, entrants must obtain permission from their parent or guardian before they enter.
Any person directly connected to Cuckooland may not enter or participate in any competition organised by Cuckooland. Such persons include Cuckooland partners, staff, employees and their immediate family.
Entries must be received by the closing date specified in the competition. Any entries or answers that are misdirected, lost for whatever reason or received after the closing date will not be accepted and Cuckooland cannot be held responsible. Only entries and answers received on time will be entered.
Cuckooland reserves the right to disqualify any entrant in any competition whom we consider or feel has entered using improper or suspicious means (technical or otherwise).
Cuckoolands competitions and promotions are in no way associated with Facebook or their group of companies. Facebook does not sponsor, endorse or administer any of Cuckoolands competitions or promotions. By entering our competitions and taking part in our promotions you understand that you are providing your information to the administers of the page and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for communications related to Cuckoolands competitions and promotions.
All costs associated with entering, such as but not limited to their costs to access computer networks, shall be borne by the entrant unless the competition specifies otherwise.

Prizes
Cuckooland may advertise prizes to be won for each competition, if for whatever reason an advertised prize is unavailable we reserve the right to substitute a similar prize that is of equivalent or greater value.
Each household entering can only be awarded one prize.
Cash cannot be offered in lieu of the prize and prizes are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Winners
In a typical Cuckooland competition, the winners name will be selected in a random draw from all the correct answers received after the closing date. The winner will be notified by email or phone within 20 days of determining the winner.
The prize will be sent to the winner within 30 days.
If the winner cannot be contacted after all reasonable efforts have been made or if the winner is unable to receive the prize then we may at our discretion ascertain a new winner.
Only one prize will be awarded per entrant (per person) and only one prize per email address.
Unless specifically instructed not to, Cuckooland may publish the name of the winner and Cuckooland may advertise details of the prize and the announcement of the winner in any and all online and offline marketing material, including but not limited to PR and social media.
Prizes involving travel will likely need travel arrangements to be confirmed by the winner. Unless otherwise stated, these arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the winner.
We may reserve the right to insist on written permission from the parent or guardian of any winner who is under the age of 16 and to further insist that the winner choose a companion (depending on the competition) who is 18 or older.
Some competition prizes may be restricted to certain times of the year and unless otherwise stated by specific competition rules, prizes must be taken up within six months of the winner being notified.
If prizes are provided by a third party supplier, then where applicable, the winner may be required to complete any booking or other formalities with these suppliers/providers directly.
The winner, by accepting the prize, hereby indemnifies Cuckooland for all acts/defaults of any other persons or companies.
That’s pretty much all the legal gumph on competitions, all that’s left to say to all the winners out there is… the more you enter competitions, the luckier you get!
