Answers from the Cuckooland team.
How high are the side rails on the Flair Explorer Single Play House Floor Bed?
The side rails are approx. 35 cm high.
Can the rail on the Flair Explorer Single Play House Floor Bed go on the right-hand side?
No, the bed is not reversible; the rails can only be assembled on the left-hand side as shown in the images.
What mattress depth can I use?
A UK single mattress (90 x 190cm) up to 16cm deep.
Which colours are available?
Natural pine, white, grey, navy blue and olive green.
Does this come with the mattress ?
We regret to inform you that this bed does not include a mattress yet, as mattress is sold separately. However, compatible mattress options are conveniently listed on the product page, allowing you to easily add one to your order.
What size mattress do I need for this bed, and is it a standard UK size?
Each bed's product page states the mattress size it needs. Most of our beds take standard UK sizes (e.g. Single 90 x 190 cm, Small Double 120 x 190 cm), but some take continental sizes (e.g. 90 x 200 cm), so please check before ordering. Mattresses offered in a bed's mattress dropdown are suitable for that bed.
Can I return an item if I change my mind, and how?
Yes. You can cancel within 14 days of delivery and then have 14 days to send the item back. Items must be returned "as new": not assembled, modified or made to order. Email customerservice@cuckooland.com with your order number and photos of the item and boxes; you'll get a reply within 48 working hours. If you ask us to collect, a collection charge is deducted from the refund. Opened or used mattresses and pillows can't be returned for hygiene reasons.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit and credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Klarna, Clearpay and V12 Retail Finance are also available on eligible orders. The options for your order are shown at checkout.

Can the safety rail be removed if no longer needed?
Regarding the safety rails, we strongly recommend that they are not removed. Modifying the bed in this way may compromise its structural safety and could potentially void the manufacturer's warranty. Please be advised that we cannot be held liable for any incidents or injuries that may occur should the bed be used without the rails as originally intended.
Why is the maximum mattress thickness 16cm
The recommended maximum mattress thickness is 16 cm. This guideline ensures the safety rails remain at the correct height for safe use. A thicker mattress can push against the side rails, making them more prone to damage due to the added bulk.
