Description
Bring a calm, boutique-hotel feel to your bedroom with the SOLACE+CO Reme Fluted Ottoman Bed. Combining a warm wood-effect fluted base with a softly padded beige upholstered headboard, the Reme pairs on-trend texture with genuinely useful hidden storage, making it a smart choice for couples, guest rooms and anyone who wants a tidier, more relaxing space.
Statement Fluted Design
The base and footboard are finished with vertical ribbed panelling that adds depth, texture and a high-end, hotel-inspired look. Choose from two finishes to suit your interior: Natural & Beige, a light oak-effect tone that brightens Scandi, coastal and neutral schemes, or Walnut & Beige, a richer, darker finish that works beautifully in moody, mid-century and modern spaces. Both finishes are paired with a tall, clean-lined beige headboard that gives comfortable back support when you are reading, watching TV or relaxing in bed.
Hydraulic Gas-Lift Ottoman Storage
Under the mattress sits a generous storage compartment, ideal for spare bedding, towels, out-of-season clothes and suitcases. A smooth gas-lift mechanism raises the slatted platform with minimal effort, so you can reach everything you have stored without having to strip the bed. Built-in storage helps keep floors clear and clutter out of sight, which is especially handy in smaller bedrooms and flats.
Supportive Slatted Base
The sturdy poplar wood slatted base supports your mattress and promotes airflow to keep it fresh, with no box spring needed. We recommend a mattress depth of 12-16cm so the ottoman lifts smoothly and the headboard stays in proportion. The Double supports approximately 260kg and the King Size approximately 280kg, with a base-to-floor height of 31.5cm.
Complete the Look
Coordinate your bedroom with the matching SOLACE+CO Remington furniture collection in oak and walnut finishes, including bedside tables, chests of drawers, a dressing table and a wardrobe. You can also add a Remington 2 Drawer Bedside Table, a mattress, a duvet and pillow set or a mattress protector to your bed as you order.

Questions & Answers (8)
Answers from the Cuckooland team.
Does the ottoman bed have a gas lift?
Our ottoman beds use gas struts (pistons) to help lift the base. If the lift sticks, place the mattress on the frame and apply gentle, steady pressure to compress the pistons, and check that the frame is properly aligned.
What size mattress do I need for this bed, and is it a standard UK size?
Each bed's product page states the mattress size it needs. Most of our beds take standard UK sizes (e.g. Single 90 x 190 cm, Small Double 120 x 190 cm), but some take continental sizes (e.g. 90 x 200 cm), so please check before ordering. Mattresses offered in a bed's mattress dropdown are suitable for that bed.
What is the weight limit of this bed?
Each bed's weight limit is listed on the product page and includes the weight of the mattress. For bunk beds, the limit is per bunk. Please don't exceed the stated limit.
Does the bed come with a mattress?
Beds are sold without a mattress unless the listing says one is included. Mattresses are an optional add-on you can select on the product page.
How thick a mattress can I use / what mattress depth is recommended?
It depends on the bed; the recommended maximum mattress depth is given on the product page. For bunk beds, mid sleepers and high sleepers it is usually around 15-16 cm, so the safety rails stay effective.
Can I get the assembly instructions?
Assembly instructions are included in the box. If you've lost them or need a copy, contact us with the product name or order number and we can email them to you.
Can I return an item if I change my mind, and how?
Yes. You can cancel within 14 days of delivery and then have 14 days to send the item back. Items must be returned "as new": not assembled, modified or made to order. Email customerservice@cuckooland.com with your order number and photos of the item and boxes; you'll get a reply within 48 working hours. If you ask us to collect, a collection charge is deducted from the refund. Opened or used mattresses and pillows can't be returned for hygiene reasons.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit and credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Klarna, Clearpay and V12 Retail Finance are also available on eligible orders. The options for your order are shown at checkout.
