How to measure for sofa delivery
The most common sofa delivery problem isn't the room, it's getting there. Measure the route before you order.
Measurements to take
- Width and height of every door on the route (with the door open, measured inside the frame).
- Hallway widths, and any tight corners or turns.
- Stair width, the height above the stairs, and any turns or landings.
- Lift door and car size, if you live in a flat.
Compare with the sofa
Check the sofa's width, depth and height on the product page. The depth and height are usually what need to fit through a doorway, as sofas are often carried on their end or back.
Tight access?
A sofa in a box arrives in boxes and is assembled in the room, and modular corner sofas arrive in sections.
