Questions & Answers (8)
Answers from the Cuckooland team.
How does the side lift storage work?
The bed has a hydraulic-assisted side lift ottoman mechanism, designed to make accessing the underbed storage easier. It lifts from the side to reveal the storage area beneath the mattress.
What size TV fits in the Claybourne TV ottoman bed?
The Claybourne fits TVs up to 42 inches, measured diagonally. Your TV hides in the foot end and rises when you want to watch.
How much storage space does the Claybourne ottoman bed have?
The double offers 745 litres and the king 869 litres of storage. Internal dimensions are H28 x L193 x W138cm (double) and H28 x L203 x W153cm (king), which is plenty for bedding, suitcases and spare clothes.
Should I choose cream velvet or brown chenille?
It's down to personal style. Cream velvet is soft and smooth with a subtle sheen, while brown chenille has a cosy, textured weave.
Does the ottoman bed have a gas lift?
Our ottoman beds use gas struts (pistons) to help lift the base. If the lift sticks, place the mattress on the frame and apply gentle, steady pressure to compress the pistons, and check that the frame is properly aligned.
What size mattress do I need for this bed, and is it a standard UK size?
Each bed's product page states the mattress size it needs. Most of our beds take standard UK sizes (e.g. Single 90 x 190 cm, Small Double 120 x 190 cm), but some take continental sizes (e.g. 90 x 200 cm), so please check before ordering. Mattresses offered in a bed's mattress dropdown are suitable for that bed.
Can I return an item if I change my mind, and how?
Yes. You can cancel within 14 days of delivery and then have 14 days to send the item back. Items must be returned "as new": not assembled, modified or made to order. Email customerservice@cuckooland.com with your order number and photos of the item and boxes; you'll get a reply within 48 working hours. If you ask us to collect, a collection charge is deducted from the refund. Opened or used mattresses and pillows can't be returned for hygiene reasons.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit and credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Klarna, Clearpay and V12 Retail Finance are also available on eligible orders. The options for your order are shown at checkout.
