Questions & Answers (8)
Answers from the Cuckooland team.
What age is the Flair Explorer Single Mid Sleeper Bed suitable for?
The Flair Explorer Mid Sleeper Bed is suitable for children over 4 years old. It is best suited to children who can safely climb in and out of bed using the ladder.
Is the ladder and side rail position reversible?
The ladder and side rail are fixed in place and cannot be swapped to the opposite side. If room layout is a concern, it's worth checking the product images to confirm the ladder position works for your space before ordering.
Can the house frame be decorated?
Yes, the open roof frame is ideal for adding lightweight decorations such as bunting, fairy lights or a canopy. Make sure any decorations are fitted safely and kept away from where they could become tangled.
How do I clean and care for this bed?
As the frame has a painted finish, we'd recommend wiping it down with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoiding harsh chemical cleaners, which could damage the paintwork.
Can the ladder on the Flair Explorer Single Mid Sleeper House Bed be fitted on the opposite side?
No, the bed is not reversible, so the ladder cannot be assembled on the opposite side.
What size mattress do I need for this bed, and is it a standard UK size?
Each bed's product page states the mattress size it needs. Most of our beds take standard UK sizes (e.g. Single 90 x 190 cm, Small Double 120 x 190 cm), but some take continental sizes (e.g. 90 x 200 cm), so please check before ordering. Mattresses offered in a bed's mattress dropdown are suitable for that bed.
Can I return an item if I change my mind, and how?
Yes. You can cancel within 14 days of delivery and then have 14 days to send the item back. Items must be returned "as new": not assembled, modified or made to order. Email customerservice@cuckooland.com with your order number and photos of the item and boxes; you'll get a reply within 48 working hours. If you ask us to collect, a collection charge is deducted from the refund. Opened or used mattresses and pillows can't be returned for hygiene reasons.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit and credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Klarna, Clearpay and V12 Retail Finance are also available on eligible orders. The options for your order are shown at checkout.
