Store Clothes More Efficiently
Tired of stepping over piles of clothes in your child’s room? Can’t find the storage to squeeze any more clothes? Then it’s time to change how you organise their wardrobe – and here’s how:
- Regularly go through your child’s wardrobe and donate or sell clothes they don’t wear anymore.
- Properly fold all clothes before putting them in drawers.
- Follow a ‘one in, one out’ policy before adding to the wardrobe.
- Sort clothes by category for easier access in the mornings.
- Take advantage of vertical storage space.
- Double-hang items to fit more in the wardrobe.
- Store out-of-season clothes elsewhere, like in the loft.
- Use a trundle drawer to store surplus clothes under the bed.
If floor space is an issue, think vertical. A tall yet narrow wardrobe allows you to pack away just as many clothes as a wide and short chest of drawers – without taking up nearly as much room.
