Explore the Swyft Sofa Range

As the nights are drawing in and the Christmas ads have started to roll, it’s the perfect time to curl up on a brand new sofa. And since 2020 is all about staying in, you’ll need a sofa that’s both comfortable and stylish to make these winter nights a little more bearable.

With that said, now seems the perfect time to walk you through the Swyft Sofa collection – also known as the ‘Sofa in a Box’. As the name suggests, these sofas are ready-to-assemble and swiftly delivered to you in a box. Within just 5 minutes of opening, you can curl up on a sofa that’s cosy and effortlessly cool.

I really can’t get enough of these sofas. They pack a punch, they’re super comfortable, and they’ll perfectly complement any home. To help you get the look just right, I’ve put together a few of my favourite styling hints and tips.

First, find the right Swyft sofa for you

When it comes to interior design, we all have our likes and dislikes. Luckily, the sofa gurus over at Swyft know that all too well. It’s why they’ve designed three distinctive models for you to choose from, each with the option of velvet or linen fabric.

So, linen or velvet? A modular corner sofa or a two-seater? And which model to choose? Decisions, decisions… Hopefully, my design tips and tricks will help you style whichever sofa you end up choosing.

Let bold colours do the talking

If the velvet sofas are up your street, you’ll have up to four fabulous colours to choose from: Vine, Elephant, Teal, or Brick. And with these block colours, the sofa acts like a statement piece in itself.

When you’ve got a striking sofa like this, I think it’s best to let the colour do all the talking. Pairing a bold sofa with equally bold furnishings can sometimes create a look that’s a little too busy. Instead, contrast the sofa with neutral tones and allow your sofa to take centre stage.

With this Model 01 Velvet three-seater, you can see how the neutral rug and pale walls really work to make the sofa stand out. Opt for minimalist soft furnishings and walls, and you can’t go wrong.

Use a statement cushion or two

Prefer a more understated sofa? Swyft have you covered. Opt for a linen fabric and you’ll have a choice of up to three dreamy colours: Shadow, Seaglass, or Pumice.

With these minimalist hues, a little statement piece goes a long way. As you can see, a few cushions give the sofa a whole new dimension. The yellow cushion adds a rejuvenating pop of colour, while the patterned cushions add a touch of playful personality.

If you’ve chosen a lighter, more minimalist sofa, you can afford to get a little creative with your soft furnishings. To add a touch of flair, pair a linen sofa with a vivid cushion or two. Don’t go overboard, though – just a couple of eye-catching pieces will be enough to create an impact.

Couple it with a coffee table

So, you’ve assembled your new Swyft sofa and you’re ready to sink into the cushions. But hang on…what’s missing? Without a handy coffee table, it can feel like something’s lacking.

Not only are coffee tables perfect for popping a cheeky glass of wine on, but they look great with the Swyft sofa range. I personally love how this circular wooden coffee table complements the Model 02 Velvet three-seater. Swyft sofas are contemporary in style, so a modern Scandinavian-inspired coffee table works a treat.

Round, wooden coffee tables offer an elegant, timeless feel – and perfectly accent your new Swyft sofa. Opt for slanted legs for a quirky touch, and remember, it’s best to pick a coffee table that’s level with your sofa cushions.

Add extra seating to suit your space

With Swyft’s Model 03 range, your dream sofa is in reach – no matter what size or shape. As this range is modular, you can add extra seating to suit your space.

Whether you fancy adding a few extra seats or a handy ottoman, you can design the sofa around your home. For large, spacious living rooms, I think an L-shaped sofa looks incredibly inviting. Plus, opting for a matching ottoman is a great way to add a cosy feel to your room.

It’s always important to make the most out of your space. If you have a large family or just prefer having that extra space to flop, adding a few extra seats can help you fill your room to a T.
