The actual size of the bed will vary from design to design, each product detail page includes a “Specification” section (called a tab) where the measurements of the bed are stated. Our kids small double beds range between 125cm–132cm width, with all of them being over 200cm in length. We would always recommend measuring your child’s bedroom and the space available to cross-reference with the bed specifications.
The standard mattress size required for a small double bed is 120cm x 200cm. We have some fantastic mattress options that you can purchase with your bed, these can be easily located on the product detail pages under the optional extras section; “Add a Comfy Mattress”.
We carry a range of small double beds in stock for quick dispatch - these we are able to deliver to your door within 1-3 days. Other small double childrens beds from designers such as Lifetime Beds & Furniture are made to order so will be take longer to delivery (up to 6 weeks in some cases). A small double bed is essentially a double but narrower than its standard counterpart. Whereas a standard UK double measures 135cm by 190cm a small double is 120cm by 190cm. It’s the same for European small doubles too. A standard European double is 140cm by 200cm and a small European double is 120cm by 200cm.
