Information you Give Us

You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our site www.cuckooland.com or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. In order to be able to offer you Klarna’s payment options, we will pass to Klarna certain aspects of your personal information, such as contact and order details, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment options and to tailor the payment options for you. Marketing and how we may Contact You

Given how we operate our business, it may be necessary to use the information we have about you in our marketing. Any use of your information for marketing will be both in our legitimate interests and yours. You have a right to object at any time to this use of your information by visiting our contact us page.

Where you have given us your consent or if you have previously purchased from us, we may use your information to contact you about products that you have purchased, to tell you about goods and services which we consider may interest you, our offers available from time to time, or to send you a copy of our catalogue.   3. Sign into "My Account" on the website and edit your account details

Please allow up to 5 days for unsubscribe requests to be processed

If you tell us that you do not want to receive any further marketing information from us, we will not contact you further for the purpose of marketing. However, we will not necessarily remove your information from our database(s) if it is necessary to retain the information for other non-marketing purposes such as where we need your information for compliance with our legal obligations or for the purpose of fulfilling our contract with you. Please note that after you opt out of receiving marketing communications from us, it may take a few days to update our records during which time you may continue to receive marketing communications.

Information we collect About You

With regard to each of your visits to our site we may collect the following information:

  • Technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;

Sensitive Data

  • We do not collect any Sensitive Data about you. Sensitive data refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data. We do not collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

How we will use the information we collect About You:

How long will we retain Your Data?

By law we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.

Each of these external companies has a contract with us which confirms how they handle your information and is restricted so that they can only use this information to provide services to Cuckooland Limited and to you and not for any other reason.
  • Invoice and billing including Stripe, Paypal, Klarna and Omni Capital.
  • Retargeting platforms including Google Ads Remarketing, Facebook Custom Audience and Facebook Remarketing, Criteo Retargeting.
  • Social Media Sharing and Advertising.
  • Professional advisers including lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services.
  • HM Revenue & Customs, regulators and other authorities based in the United Kingdom and other relevant jurisdictions who require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances.
  • Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site to improve your customer journey. These third parties only use your information in line with our instructions and do not disclose it or use it for any other purposes. When it is not essential to do so, we will only disclose your information with these companies when we have obtained your consent. You have the right to change your mind at any time and details on how to unsubscribe are confirmed below.
  • We may also provide your information to social media platforms, carefully selected third parties and customer service agencies for research and analysis purposes, so that we can monitor and improve our services, products and marketing communications. These third parties may help us or complete research and insight on our behalf.
  • Third parties to whom we sell, transfer, or merge parts of our business or our assets.

We require all third parties to whom we transfer your data to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We only allow such third parties to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

International Transfers

We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

Where we Store and the Security of Your Personal Data

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you at any time. If you wish to do so, please contact our Customer Service team who will be happy to assist. Please be advised that we will not charge you for this service, but our security procedures mean that we will have to request proof of identity before we disclose information to you.This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

Our site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.
