• How can I protect my wooden garden furniture?

Most of our wooden furniture is made with durable, rot-resistant, and waterproof wood. But if you’d like to add an extra layer of protection, here’s how:

1. Prep your furniture first by scrubbing it with warm water and washing up liquid.

2. Rinse and allow your wooden furniture to dry.

3. Apply some wood preserver (also known as finishing or Danish oil) with a paintbrush.

Remember, if your furniture has already been oiled, you’ll need to sand it down before you apply a new coat.

• Can I paint my wooden garden furniture?

If you like the stripped-back and natural look, you won’t need to add any extra coatings to our wooden furniture. But if you fancy giving your furniture a fun new look, you’re free to do so - you can stain or paint most of the furniture you see. Don’t forget to add a layer of primer before you give your furniture a lick of paint.

• Will wooden garden furniture rot?

The Forest Garden range is made with FSC® pressure treated timber to keep your furniture free from rot. But if you’d like to add an extra layer of protection against rot, apply some wood preserver to your furniture.

• How can I clean wooden garden furniture?

When it’s time to give your wooden garden furniture a good clean, you won’t need anything more than warm water, washing up liquid, and a scrubbing brush - oh, and a lot of elbow grease! It’s best to avoid using any strong chemicals, as this can damage the finish.

• How can I spread the cost of my new wooden garden furniture?

On each product page, you can choose to ‘calculate’ what your monthly payments will look like over 12, 18, 24, or 36 months. If you’re happy with the cost, just hit ‘pay with finance’. You don’t need to do anything else - we’ll take it from there and arrange your payments on a monthly basis.
