Fact 5: Telephone wires had a ranking system which was devised by how tasty they were to mice and rats. This was due to the incessant devouring of wires by rodents which caused incredible damage to large telephone companies.
It’s a major inconvenience when a super hero needs to fight crime but also protect their identity. Clark Kent aka Superman knew this all too well and so it was a saving grace that during his heyday, our spandex loving hero could rely on the many available phone boxes dotting around the city of Metropolis.
Possibly the most famous British Police Public Call Box in history, the Tardis is now a cultural icon. Although the well known blue call box is not actually a phone box but a universal transportation device, we still has to include such an awesome British legend.

Colin Ferral does his best ‘man on the edge of desperation’ performance mostly in a phone booth, as the audience are gripped in this well designed thriller. And the lesson we learnt from this film, never pick up a ringing public phone!
