Vox designs family & kids furniture that is stylish, inspiring and storage-focused. Who says you can’t build dens whilst keeping clutter to a minimum? Or work hard and play hard in the same, multi-functional space? Cuckooland has partnered with Polish designers Vox, to bring you a savvy selection of children’s furniture.
Invest in Scandi-style furniture that really thinks outside the Vox, with clever designs and storage solutions from this collection. This European brand has been pushing the boundaries of kids’ bedrooms since the fall of the Berlin Wall (1989!), so they know a thing or two about our little ones. Partnering with some of the best designers and brainiest students on the continent, they create furniture that inspires and nurtures bright young minds. Sleep is the nectar that fuels your child’s development, so banish moans at bedtime by picking out a kid-approved bed that your monster will be itching to crawl into. From climbing frame beds to tipi trolleys that transform those basic sleepers into something brilliantly imaginative, these kids beds may look bonkers (or completely cuckoo as we prefer to say), but that's exactly why they're so popular and always amongst our bestselling childrens beds! Not to mention tried and tested for a sound night’s sleep.
Where floor space is a precious commodity, every inch of storage counts. So once you’ve picked out a space-saving sleeper, find desks, drawers and wardrobes to match your room theme from Vox. Turning traditional design on its head, their lightbulb inventions include double-sided desks, corner wardrobes and more, so that your growing beanstalks have space to stretch out in even the cosiest of bedrooms.
Made from cool, contemporary acacia wood, Vox creations are bang on trend for kids of all ages, so you can be sure that your furniture won’t fall out of fashion as your children become style-conscious teens. Funky and incredibly functional, these designs get the thumbs up from kids and parents alike, making them a must-have addition to your children's bedroom.Get in touch and we’d be happy to help.
Need help deciding on a Vox product or range? (read below... or simply call us on 01305 231 231).
With so many awe-inducing products falling under the Vox banner, you might be struggling to narrow down your options. Thankfully, Vox Furniture has a plethora of ranges to choose from, making it easy to set the tone for any room.
Let’s begin with one of the simpler facets of the Vox philosophy – which, by the way, is grounded in intense scientific research. That’s right: the company regularly hires psychology and human movement boffins to gauge what furniture is suitable for our modern lifestyles. In this regard, Spot Adult leads the charge for cool, efficient tidying solutions that are raised slightly off the ground.
Dining benches are made for al fresco or indoor meals, and can pack away mats, cups and cutlery when the time calls for it. Wardrobes and drawers are perched on smooth wooden legs for under-storage. In the patented cream/black Spot finish, they instil a subtle but striking tone into your visual arrangement.
This same approach runs through the heart of Vox Spot Young. Tasteful, functional designs mean you can turn your son or daughter’s special place into a room that’ll last until the dwindling months of teenagehood. Without focusing on specific genders, Spot Young is the ideal match for adventurous children who love the feel of sleeping in a tent, or collecting books around the lower lip of their duvet.
Baby Spot, like Spot Young, doesn’t conform to masculine or feminine parameters. The furniture, even for very young children, is totally democratic, and we love this ideology. A gorgeous acacia cot bed stands at the centre of this range, folding out into a junior bed when your darling sleeper is ready for it.
Now for something a little more sultry: a dark and impeccably chic collection of desks, sideboards and bookcases. It’s the latter that Lori really excels at – made for the boundless reading fiend, they boast very thin shelving, which (along with the obsidian colour tone) maximises the pop and lustre of your book spines.
Lori sounds like the kind of person you’d turn to for a relaxed, mutual armchair sink session, perhaps in the confines of your study after the kids have hit the hay. Funnily enough, that’s just what this Vox range prepares you for, grafting a subdued impression of class to your office or home study space. The desks are stupendous, waiting to shine alongside a PC monitor and some stereo speakers to boot.
Vox’s academic advisors have apparently stressed that we’re all tired of clutter, mess and disorganisation in the 21st century home. We’d definitely agree with them – think of all the cables and ornaments and framed photos that we tend to have in our humble abodes. Hence, the Balance selection is here to rein some order back to your interior, with yet more funky display units to deploy.
The modular characteristics of these items mix and match rectangular shapes; simultaneously, they’re ‘of a piece’, yet distinct enough from shelf to shelf, so the overall effect never seems too uniform. What it does mean is that you can fit trinkets of various moulds into the appropriate slot. You can also throw in some Balance organisers to complete your storage package.
There’s no denying the timeless appeal of straight-laced, laminate wood builds in the bedroom. Whether for yourself or any guests that are stopping over, R&O is the go-to face of Vox’s rustic predilections, featuring a handful of bright and airy furniture that fits perfectly into Scandi décor.
Beds with in-built headboard lighting are probably going to grab your attention from the off; no wonder, since those electric glimmers play off the frame’s texture, changing the glow subtly from the sides of the piece to the centre. Look further, though, and you’ll find beech cabinets, wardrobes and drawers, unifying the Nordic look in your bedroom.
Sticking on our private abodes for now, it’s safe to say that bedrooms should be a creative wonderland, a set of walls to house your bids for the greatest, most irrepressible furnishing you can muster. The 4You Young collections stride to the fore of your bedroom design. Vox’s trust in simple white layouts remains, lifted anew by gorgeous four-poster sleepers and split wardrobes.
You can carry the stylish, modern Vox look throughout your home with 4 You Adult. Immerse yourself in minimalistic dining furniture for parties and soirees, and bring fine, multi-purpose furniture to family hangout spots. In Vox’s view, they’re worthy of a smart, respectable environment, just like we are.
Lastly, we’re bowing out with a gaze at Mio, which may be considered the most futurist aspect of Vox’s character. How so? Well, a single glance at the cabinets and sideboards will do it: just marvel at those sliding drawers, clutched in a ladder-esque wooden frame. And, once you dig a little deeper, the Mio desk has that same wow factor, bracketed by features that also serve as stable legs.
Anyone finding living room furniture will hit the jackpot here, as the coffee table and various storage picks go exquisitely with a modern flat-screen TV. Throw a spritzer together, sit back and – voila! The copper and dark panelling will seem like a visionary beam from space.
The treehouse beds are pure magic.
The beds create a fairytale atmosphere and the construction is solid, a substantial piece of furniture. It was well worth the effort to import from Europe,
there is nothing like them that I could find in the US.
