Cuckooland’s Guide to Bedtime Stories: The Circus Collection
Roll up! Roll up! For the greatest bedtime story collection is about to begin! Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, welcome to the Circus themed bedroom and all the wonderful stories that go hand in hand with the magical big top.
With our busy schedules and hectic lives, it’s easy to see why spending quality time with our children is becoming more and more precious. As a parent it can sometimes feel like the few moments in the day when we can really connect with our children are about as rare as rocking horse poo! One of those moments is of course story telling time snuggled up in your Kids Bed. That wonderful half hour of quiet reading time once the kids are bathed and ready for bed (which is just after the mad half hour of dinner and pudding time!).
Ok, enough clowning about… our original guide to unique stories inspired by our imaginative childrens beds and bedroom themes continues with our circus collection.
A treat to behold and of course the perfect accompaniment to any circus themed story is our dazzling Kids Bedroom Pavilion by Win Green. Roll up and roll around with a few cuddly tigers and then doze off to dreamland.

Circus Girl by Claire Pernice

Circus Girl by Claire Pernice is another example of the exploration of a child’s imagination. A little girl dresses up in her leotard and socks to become ‘Circus Girl’ the leading star of the show. Circus Girl’s entire bedroom transforms into a circus dreamscape incorporating her toys and other objects. Circus girl trapezes and tumbles from page to page, juggling and contorting to become the overall star of the show. If I Ran the Circus is the perfect book to pass on to your little ones if you were or indeed are a fan of Dr Seuss. The story draws on the usual inventive parallels of creative creatures, from the Spotted Atrocious – a beast most ferocious – to the Drum-Tummied Snumm from the country of Frumm. If I Ran the Circus is a fun tongue twister story with great illustrations in the trademark blue, red and yellow colours of Dr Seuss.
