Get the Look: Kid’s Room Ideas from Instagram
Love it or hate it, Instagram is one of the best places to get décor ideas and inspiration for your home – and that includes your little darling’s bedroom!
Here are some of the best kid’s rooms we’ve spotted recently on the ‘gram, all shared by our wonderful customers and featuring our Cuckooland kid’s beds.
Read on to find out how to recreate these aspirational looks, and give your little one’s room a makeover that Nick Knowles would be proud of!
1 @livingatlanas
Take inspiration from @livingatlanas and create a safari-themed kid’s bedroom – this is the perfect style for kids who were born to be wild!
To recreate the look, start with a teepee bed that you can build your room around. Wrap fairy lights and faux foliage around the frame, then add safari-print bedding and stuffed big animals – think giraffes, elephants and lions.
A white wall with green panelling behind the bed gives the effect of long grass in the background, and you could add a plant or two, to complete the African savanna look.

2. @sandpiperbarn
Are you a fan of all things Scandinavian? Then check out @sandpiperbarn’s incredible kid’s room, which combines cool Nordic style with buckets of fun!
Full disclosure: this treehouse bed has been painted to achieve the unique blue-toned finish. But, if you don’t fancy picking up a paintbrush, you can achieve the same look by mix-and-matching blue and white furniture pieces.
We also recommend adding in some rattan storage baskets and natural textures, to really hammer home the cosy Nordic vibes (extra points if you have exposed beams above!) Chuck in a few of their favourite toys, and your kid’s room will be truly Scandinavi-fun!

Go all out by recreating @claremummyto3’s eclectic and colourful kid’s room!
A tepee floor bed makes the perfect base for this look, as it’s easy to decorate with colourful bedding and cushions. Floor beds also support the Montessori method of learning, where children are encouraged to explore independently, thanks to easily accessible furniture.
To complete your fun and educational room, paint the walls a bright, happy shade – yellow is perfect – and add colourful wall art or stickers. Finish with some fun play equipment, stacking toys and rainbow accessories. This is a room that couldn’t fail to make your little ray of sunshine happy!

For a more stylish take on a children’s bedroom, check out this green dream from @edwardian_by_the_sea.
The olive-green walls (Bancha by Farrow and Ball) perfectly accentuate the wooden furniture and pale pink bedding, for a natural look that blends modern and traditional styles.
A simple house bed frame and statement lighting are all that’s needed to make this room pop!

5. @suemurphyinteriors & @landers_photos
Fun and whimsy are the best parts of designing a child’s bedroom, as @suemurphyinteriors proves with this ultra-stylish grey and pink kid’s wonderland.
This room is the perfect place to hang out, with little ones spoilt for choice between the awesome bunk bed, the futuristic hanging chair, and the plush pink rug for a place to curl up.
The tree bookcase adds practical storage to the room, but in a playful and eye-catching way that only adds to the statement look. We don’t see how any child could resist bedtime if this is what they were walking up to!

6. @lovinglinden
In this stylish kid’s room, @lovinglinden puts a modern twist on monochrome by combining black metal beds and grey furniture with shades of olive-green, mustard and rust. We are LOVING this colour combination!
Black shelves, picture frames and lighting give the room a grown-up feel, whilst the colourful bedding and accessories add the fun factor.
This stylish space would be perfect for twins or siblings who can’t (or don’t want to!) share a bunk bed. If they get to the point where they don’t want matching bedding either, the metal beds are the perfect blank canvas for them to put their stamp on – check out our SNURK bedding sets for ideas.

7. @our_little_cove
Yes, we know it’s another treehouse room – but after all, what youngster doesn’t dream of having their very own treehouse as a base for their adventures?
This incredible kid’s room by @our_little_cove is perfect for budding explorers. The Charlotte Treehouse Bed makes an ideal centrepiece and the combination of orange and brown tones creates a cosy bohemian feel.
Recreate this ‘back to nature’ look with leopard print, snakes and plenty of (kid-safe) plants, for lost in the jungle vibes!
