How to Use Tactile Textures in a Kid's Bedroom

Babies, toddlers and children all learn through exploring their environment and using their five senses – taste, smell, hearing, vision and most importantly touch!

Studies have proven that by encouraging and challenging these senses and by introducing lots of interesting stimuli to the kid’s bedrooms, your little ones can gain a better understanding of the world around them. Motor skills, cognition, problem-solving, language development and social interactions are just a few abilities that can be fine-tuned through sensory exploration.

By adding tactile textures throughout their bedrooms, from their furniture to their toys and accessories, without even knowing, your kiddies will be soaking it all in and learning along the way!

We’ve put together a guide on how to get started with tactile furniture and décor, how sensory play is important and why textures can help your little genius in those first formative years. Read on to find out more and get a feel for tactile interiors!
