Something we don’t want to shut away, however, are any questions you might have… so read on for some FAQs to help you get the most out of your hallway storage:

1. How secure is your hallway storage?

Whilst there aren’t any locks on our cabinets, boxes, and drawers, they are built to contain everything and anything you need them to without sliding open. Several features may help achieve this: a locker-esque cabinet door can close perfectly into the main body, for example, as the middle shelf is set back a few millimeters, letting it tuck into the frame. For wall-mounted shelves, the material will be typically strong – such as iron or marble – to support a decent amount of weight.

2. What are the benefits of a storage trolley?

First off, they’re portable, so you can wheel them anywhere to shake up positioning. Second, they’re fantastically durable, made from industrial-grade wood and metal. That can only be a good thing for heavy displays. The cage, too, protects anything from a stray elbow, or something else that could destabilise your items.

3. How should I clean and maintain wooden hallway storage?

The main types of wood our suppliers use are easy to clean but benefit from occasional maintenance. For most variants, rub them every few months with fine sandpaper in the direction of the grain, removing dirt, dust, and grease. Then apply a thin waxing agent if you want to guard the surface against ageing. If the opposite is true, let the wood naturally change over the years, and just focus on the cleaning task.

4. How much weight can a storage bench take?

You’ll notice that we stock benches that double as a seat/packing space. While there are no hard and fast rules for the pressure they can withstand, we don’t recommend much more than 200kg for two people at the same time. Saying that, the wooden top is very supportive, and strengthened further by the way it rests on the wider frame. Most weights shouldn’t be a problem.

5. Do your coat stands come in different sizes?

They certainly do. Our smaller items are poised at just under 170cm, whereas the larger stands reach up to 190cm. Factor these height considerations, as well as the circumference of their widest points, to get the right fit for your hallway.
