Originally beginning their journey in 1972, Danish brand Karup Design believe in making room for more, in less space. Multifunctionality is at the core of their designs. Offering furniture made from sustainably sourced materials, with exceptional craftsmanship, unique design and Japanese influences - Karup Design promotes simpler living, embracing nature and the Wabi Sabi way of thinking – appreciating the beauty of life. Behind their passion for design they’re also driven by creating a better and more sustainable future. Donating futons and beds to vulnerable groups and local shelters, they have also developed a ‘Bed in a Bag’ to provide homeless people with a dry and warm place to sleep. Using recycled materials, FSC timber, water-based finishes and reducing their carbon footprint, Karup aims to do their bit for the planet and it’s people.
